DTC P0122-00: Throttle Position Sensor 1 Signal Circuit Low Input: General Description

The electronic throttle control valve is a electronic control throttle control valve which controls the amount of air flow into the engine according to the driver. The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system which is composed of throttle body, the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 1&2 and the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) 1&2 controls the mass of airflow by driver's intention. The throttle valve opening is controlled by throttle motor which is controlled by the ECM/PCM. the TPS is a variable resistance and its value is changed by open angle of throttle valve. Also if the TPS 1 is fault, replace it with TPS 2 or if the TPS 2 is fault, replace it with TPS 1.
