DTC P0601-47: Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error: General Description

The PCM randomly monitors memory checksum by performing a self-test. These tests are implemented to verify that all of the vehicle software operational calculations are operating properly. If the test fails due to incorrect checksum, the PCM determines there is a checksum value error.
