SERVICE INFORMATION

This Pitstop provides information to perform variant coding on some 2018-2023MY Stinger (CK) vehicles, after replacement of an MDPS and/or EPS unit. The selections on KGIS do not match those on the KDS  . Follow the procedure below to perform variant coding on a newly replaced MDPS and/or EPS unit.

KGIS:  Instructions state to perform "ESP Type Recognition"	KDS:  No option for "ESP Type", only "MDPS Tuning Data Setting (Backup and Write)"

Using KDS: 

1. Select 'MDPS Tuning Data Setting (Backup and Write)'  .
2. Select 'OK'  .
3. Follow the prompts to the specification setting, then select 'C2'  .
4. This will take you to the Variant Coding screen where you can select the correct vehicle specifications.
5. Complete Variant Coding.
