Repair Procedures: Removal

Shift the gear to "N".
Loosen the nut (A) and remove the shift cable fixing clip (B).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)

NOTE: When installing, the existing shift cable clip (A) must be replaced with new one. (Do not reuse it.)
Remove the shift lever.
(Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "SHIFT LEVER ")
Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior.
