DTC P2127-00: Accelerator Position Sensor 2 Signal Circuit Low Input: General Description

Installed on the accelerator pedal module, the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) detects the rotation angle of the accelerator pedal. And Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) is used with inductive type and hall type. The Accelerator Position Sensor(APS) is a very important sensor which controls the fuel amount by transmitting the driver's accelerating intention to the ECM. The APS is divided into APS1, 2 because its reliability is important. The APS1, 2 are composed with the independent power and ground. APS2 shows the 1/2 output of the APS1 and decides the fault if the ratio of APS1, 2 is different. When the APS1 is out of order, the signal of APS2 can be substituted instead of APS1 and vise versa.
