DTC P2127-00: Accelerator Position Sensor 2 Signal Circuit Low Input: General Description

The Accelerator Pedal Sensor (APS) is a very important sensor, it controls the engine load based on the driver's accelerating intention, the sensor signals are transmitted to the PCM. The APS is divided into APS1 and 2 because its reliability is important, the APS1 and 2 are composed with independent power and grounds. APS2 shows 1/2 the output of APS1 signal and decides the fault if the ratio of APS1 and 2 are different. When the APS1 is out of threshold value, APS2 signal can be substituted instead of APS1 and vise versa.
