Repair Procedures: Inspection

  1. The engine control system can be more quickly diagnosed for problems by using the KDS (Refer to "DTC INDEX ").
    1. Self diagnosis: Checking failure and Diagnosis Trouble Code (DTC)
    2. Data analysis: Checking the system input/output data state
    3. Actuation test: Checking the system operation condition
    4. Software Management: Controlling other features including system option setting and Zero-Adjustment

Component inspection 

  1. Remove the oil pressure & oil temperature sensor.

    (Refer to Oil Pressure & Temperature Sensor (OPTS) - "Removal  ")

  2. Measure resistance between terminal 1 and terminal 4.

    1 Ground
    2 Pressure Signal
    3 Power
    4 Sensor Signal
  3. Compare the measured resistance with the specification below.
