Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new Engine Control Module (ECM).

  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Remove the engine room side cover (A) after removing the fasteners.

  4. Disconnect the ECM connectors (A).

  5. Remove the ECM (A) after removing the mounting bolt and nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the bracket (A) after removing the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
