DTC P0122-00: Throttle Position Sensor 1 Signal Circuit Low Input: General Description
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system which is composed of throttle body, the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 1, 2 and the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) 1, 2 controls the mass of air flow by driver's intention. The throttle valve opening is controlled by throttle motor which is controlled by the ECM. The TPS is a variable resistance and its value is changed by open angle of throttle valve. If a failure occurs, use each other's signals instead. In other words, the signal value of TPS2 is used in the event of a TPS1 failure and the signal value of TPS1 is used in the event of a TPS2 failure.
