DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Coolant temperature is too low for fuel trim
  • Faulty cooling system
  • Faulty ECT sensor
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
Enable Condition
  • Coolant temperature at start is less than 5°C (50°F)
  • Minimum time (0°C (32°F): Approx. 50s, 8°C (46.4°F): Approx. 100s, 20°C (68°F): 200s, 36°C (96.8°F): 300s) after start versus coolant temperature at start
  • Battery voltage between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Coolant temperature signal is less than 5.25°C (41.4°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
