- Roll vehicle backwards and forwards to settle linkage. Install alignment equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Center steering wheel and check toe adjustment. Use the average of 3 separate readings. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
- Loosen track rod adjuster sleeve clamp bolts. See Fig 1. Turn adjuster sleeve until toe adjustment is correct. Roll vehicle backwards and forwards to settle linkage and relieve stresses in suspension. Recheck toe adjustment and adjust as necessary. Use the average of 3 separate readings. Tighten track rod adjuster clamp 8 mm bolt to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m) and adjuster clamp 10 mm bolt to 35 ft. lbs. (47 N.m).
- Ensure that adjuster clamps are positioned so that there is no interference with inside of wheel. Road test vehicle over an even surface. Ensure steering wheel alignment is okay and vehicle tracks straight. If steering wheel is not straight, see CENTERING STEERING WHEEL .
