Navigation Operation: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Land Rover Range Rover, 2004 Land Rover Range Rover, 2003 Land Rover Range Rover, and 2002 Land Rover Range Rover. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The navigation computer receives GPS data from the satellites, via the GPS antenna. The GPS data is used by the navigation computer to calculate the vehicle's position. Once the driver has input the desired destination, the navigation computer can calculate a route, based on the driver's preset preferences or the system default settings, to the destination.
Full instructions on navigation system operation can be found in the Navigation Handbook supplied with the vehicle.
