Front Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the front wheel and tire.
- Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to Fender Splash Shield article.
- Release the wheel speed sensor lead from the brake hose retaining bracket.
- Release the brake caliper anchor plate from the wheel knuckle and tie the caliper aside.
- Remove the 2 retaining bolts.
- Release the brake caliper from the wheel knuckle.
- Remove the 2 retaining bolts.
- Tie the brake caliper aside.
- Release the wheel speed sensor from the wheel knuckle.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the wheel speed sensor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the clips.
All vehicles
WARNING:
Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Vehicles with standard brakes
CAUTION:
Do not allow the brake caliper to hang on the brake hose.
Vehicles with high performance brakes
CAUTION:
Do not allow the brake caliper to hang on the brake hose.
