DTC P07E3-07: Incorrect Shift from Gear 8 - Mechanical failures: Action
NOTE:
A new automatic transmission is supplied complete with a new transmission control module. After installing a new automatic transmission, perform routines - Configure New Module (Including Transmission Replacement), Transmission Control Module Adaption.
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the powertrain control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Check the installation of the accessory drive belt components. Rectify as necessary
- Check the driveline for debris around rotating components. Rectify as necessary
- Check the driveline for excessive wear or backlash. Rectify as necessary
- Check the wheels and tires for snow or mud packing and correct balance. Rectify as necessary
- Check the engine mounts for damage. Rectify as necessary
- Check the transmission mounts for damage. Rectify as necessary
- Refer to the relevant section of the workshop manual and check the automatic transmission fluid level and condition. Rectify any fluid leaks and top up as necessary. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and perform a road test using all gears. If the fault persists, install a new automatic transmission
