Rear Integrated Control Panel - High Line (RICP)

CAUTION: Diagnosis by substitution from a donor vehicle is NOT  acceptable. Substitution of control modules does not guarantee confirmation of a fault, and may also cause additional faults in the vehicle being tested and/or the donor vehicle.
NOTE:
  • Guided Diagnostics must be followed and the repair advised by the process completed. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of any warranty claim made.
  • If a control module or a component is at fault and the vehicle remains under manufacturer warranty, refer to the Warranty Policy and Procedures information, or determine if any prior approval program is in operation, prior to the installation of a new module/component.
  • Generic scan tools may not read the codes listed, or may read only 5-digit codes. Match the 5 digits from the scan tool to the first 5 digits of the 7-digit code listed to identify the fault (the last 2 digits give extra information read by the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic system).
  • When performing voltage or resistance tests, always use a digital multimeter that has the resolution ability to view 3 decimal places. For example, on the 2 volts range can measure 1 mV or 2 K Ohm range can measure 1 Ohm. When testing resistance always take the resistance of the digital multimeter leads into account.
  • Check and rectify basic faults before beginning diagnostic routines involving pinpoint tests.
  • Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion.
  • If DTCs are recorded and, after performing the pinpoint tests, a fault is not present, an intermittent concern may be the cause. Always check for loose connections and corroded terminals.
  • Check JLR claims submission system for open campaigns. Refer to the corresponding bulletins and SSMs which may be valid for the specific customer complaint and complete the recommendations as required.

The article below lists all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that could be set in the Rear Integrated Control Panel (RICP). For additional diagnosis and testing information, refer to the relevant Diagnosis and Testing article in the repair information. For additional information, Refer to: AUXILIARY CLIMATE CONTROL

DTC DESCRIPTION POSSIBLE CAUSES ACTION
B11E0-14 Rear HVAC Status Lamp #1 - Circuit short to ground or open
  • Rear integrated control panel LED circuit failure
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new rear integrated control panel as required
B11E0-29 Rear HVAC Status Lamp #1 - Signal signal invalid
  • Rear integrated control panel LED/LED circuit failure
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new rear integrated control panel as required
B11EB-94 Rear HVAC Temperature Control Input - Unexpected operation
  • Rear integrated control panel switches jammed
  • Check the operation of the rear integrated control panel switches and rectify as required, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new rear integrated control panel as required
B121D-29 Rear HVAC Mode Control Input - Signal signal invalid
  • Rear integrated control panel switchpack fault
  • Check the operation of the rear integrated control panel switches and rectify as required, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new rear integrated control panel as required
B121D-94 Rear HVAC Mode Control Input - Unexpected operation
  • Rear integrated control panel switches jammed
  • Check the operation of the rear integrated control panel switches and rectify as required, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new rear integrated control panel as required
P0604-00 Internal Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM) Error - No sub type information
  • Control module internal memory error
  • No action required as the module will reset automatically
U0055-87 Vehicle Communication Bus D - Missing message
NOTE:
  • Circuit reference - HS CAN H (HMI) -
  • Circuit reference - HS CAN L (HMI) -
  • Missing message from another control module through the high speed CAN bus (PMZ)
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the snapshot data to determine the missing message source control module. Check the relevant control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
U0055-88 Vehicle Communication Bus D - Bus off
NOTE:
  • Circuit reference - HS CAN H (HMI) -
  • Circuit reference - HS CAN L (HMI) -
  • High speed CAN bus (PMZ) circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the high speed CAN bus (PMZ) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
U0300-00 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility - No sub type information
  • Incorrect rear integrated control panel installed
  • Incorrect body control module installed
  • Install a new rear integrated control panel as necessary
  • Install a new body control module/gateway module assembly as necessary
U2300-55 Central Configuration - Not configured
  • Car configuration file mismatch with vehicle specification
  • Incorrect rear integrated control panel installed
NOTE: After updating the car configuration file, set the ignition to on and wait 30 seconds before clearing the DTCs.
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check and update the car configuration file as necessary. Clear the DTC and retest
  • Install a new rear integrated control panel as necessary
