DTC C0040-64: Brake Pedal Switch "A" - Signal plausibility failure: Action
- Check the brake pedal switch installation
- Check the brake pedal switch adjustment
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the brake pedal switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTC and retest. If the fault persists, install a new brake pedal switch as required
- Advise the customer not to simultaneous operate of the accelerator and brake pedals
