DTC U011D-87: Lost Communication With All Wheel Drive Control Module - Missing Message: Action
NOTE:
- No repair actions relating to the Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module will rectify this fault
- The FlexRay wiring harness must not be repaired by making a localized wiring repair. A new wiring harness should be installed.
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- If communication with the all wheel drive (AWD) module or All Wheel Drive B (AWDB) module IS possible:
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic system, update the AWD module software to the latest level
- Inspect the AWD module connectors for signs of water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Rectify as required
- Check the AWD module relay (FUSE 1RA) is correctly installed/attached to the rear junction box. Rectify as required
- Check the AWD module relay switch body control module circuit - O_EXTENDED_IGNITION_CONTROL_3 - is operating correctly. Rectify as required
- If communication with the all wheel drive (AWD) module or All Wheel Drive B (AWDB) module is NOT possible:
- Check the FlexRay circuit is functioning by confirming communications with the parking aid module
- If there are NO communications with the parking aid module, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the FlexRay circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Replace the wiring harness as necessary
- If there are communications with the parking aid module, inspect the AWD control module connectors for signs of water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Rectify as required
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the all wheel drive control module power and ground circuits for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Check the AWD module relay (FUSE 1RA) is correctly installed/attached to the rear junction box. Rectify as required
- Check the AWD module relay switch body control module circuit - O_EXTENDED_IGNITION_CONTROL_3 - is operating correctly. Rectify as required
