DTC C1B00-62: Steering Angle Sensor - Signal compare failure: Action

NOTE:
  • When the steering is in the straight ahead position, the Steering Wheel Angle value should be between -5° and +5°
  • Do NOT replace any control modules (including the power steering module) on the basis of one occurrence of this DTC
  1. Set the steering to straight ahead. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signal - Steering Wheel Angle (0x203A). If the value is greater than ±10°, the steering angle sensor module has been installed incorrectly. Rectify as necessary. Check the front road wheel alignment (tracking). Re-align the front road wheels as required. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest. Clear the DTCs and retest
  2. Check the steering angle sensor module for Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and rectify as required
  3. If no fault is found, clear the power steering control module Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest by conducting a static lock-to-lock steering maneuver. (Do not replace any component on the basis of one occurrence of this DTC)
