DTC B0082-11: Passenger Seatbelt Load Limiter Deployment Control - Circuit short to ground: Action
NOTE:
When the airbag connector is DISCONNECTED if the locking plunger can move to the locked position easily (reasonable pressure) the connector is damaged
- Visually inspect the passenger seatbelt load limiter deployment control circuit connector, the locking plunger should be flush with the housing. If not, push the locking plunger in. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
- If problem still persists, disconnect and reconnect all connectors. Also test connectors (see above note). Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the passenger seatbelt load limiter deployment control circuit for short circuit to ground
- If a wiring fault is detected, repair the wiring as required
- If the fault persists, check the passenger seatbelt load limiter deployment control circuit connector for security or damage. Repair as necessary, clear the DTC and retest
- If no wiring harness fault exists, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest. If the fault persists, install a new passenger seatbelt load limiter as necessary
