DTC P3410-7C: Cylinder 2 Deactivation/Intake Valve Control Circuit Performance - Slow response: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for PCM power supply and/or charging system related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Inspect the continuously variable valve lift solenoid circuit connectors for signs of water ingress, pins damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the continuously variable valve lift solenoid circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance - wiring resistance should be in a range of 100 mOhm +-10%
- If connector and/or circuit faults are identified, repair or replace the affected components as required
- Check the resistance at the continuously variable valve lift solenoid (resistance should be in a range of 288 mOhm +-10%). If resistance values are not to specification, install a new continuously variable valve lift solenoid following the appropriate service procedures For additional information, Refer to: CONTINUOUS VARIABLE VALVE LIFT
