DTC P017B-62: Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance - Signal compare failure: Action
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Check cooling system for mechanical and fluid integrity. Rectify as necessary
- Check cooling fan system for mechanical integrity. Rectify as necessary
- Check thermostat system for mechanical integrity. Rectify as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the cylinder head temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Install a new cylinder head temperature sensor
- Refer to the appropriate service information and check the engine cooling system to make sure the coolant condition, level and flow is correct. Rectify as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
