DTC P0191-85: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 - Signal above allowable range: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- Start the engine and run until it reaches normal operating temperature. Switch off the engine. Wait greater than 6 hours. Start the engine. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code(s)
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Update ECU
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the fuel rail pressure sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Install a new fuel rail pressure sensor
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
