DTC P0792-85: Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance - Signal above allowable range: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Make sure the hybrid/EV battery pack is fully charged and rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the anti-lock brake system control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the transfer case control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Inspect the halfshafts for correct installation. If halfshafts are not correctly installed, check for any damage to the halfshafts. Refit or replace the halfshafts as required
- Visually inspect all other driveline components and check for damage. Replace any damaged components as required
- Check the security and integrity of the transmission ground point and check the resistance from the transmission ground to the vehicle ground. Rectify as required
- Disconnect the transmission connector at the transmission and check for damage or water ingress to the connector. Rectify as required
- Check transmission VBATT and IGN circuits for voltage supply to transmission. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Clear the DTC. Perform a sufficient road test for the vehicle to reach normal operating temperature. Recheck DTCs using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
