DTC C1B00-62: Steering Angle Sensor - Signal compare failure: Action
NOTE:
- When the steering is in the straight ahead position, the Steering Wheel Angle value should be between -5° and +5°
- Do NOT replace any control modules (including the power steering module) on the basis of one occurrence of this DTC
- Set the steering to straight ahead. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signal - Steering Wheel Angle (0x203A). If the value is greater than ±10°, the steering angle sensor module has been installed incorrectly. Rectify as necessary. Check the front road wheel alignment (tracking). Re-align the front road wheels as required. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest. Clear the DTCs and retest
- Check the steering angle sensor module for Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and rectify as required
- If no fault is found, clear the power steering control module Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest by conducting a static lock-to-lock steering maneuver. (Do not replace any component on the basis of one occurrence of this DTC)
