- Ignition ON, engine running, stationary, clutch up
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover Approved Diagnostic Equipment, check datalogger signal - Transmission Gear Engaged Park/Neutral/Drive/Reverse - 0X1E1F
- Check that the gear position sensor signal match expected values for each gear including neutral
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check connections are secure and wiring integrity
- Check MT gear position sensor for
- Seizure
- Mechanical failure
- Install new MT gear position sensor, only when diagnosed as failed
