DTC B19FB-12: GSM (Group System for Mobile) Antenna #2- Circuit short to battery: Action
- Check that the data network provider is displayed on the screen, if the data network provider is displayed, go to step 10. If there is no display go to step 2
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202) and read the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If the DTC is set go to step 3, if the DTC is no longer set go to step 10
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and disconnect the group system for mobile #2 antenna cable from the group system for mobile #2 antenna
- Measure the voltage between pin 1 of the group system for mobile #2 antenna cable and a local ground connection on the vehicle
- If the voltage is greater than 9 volts, go to step 6, if not go to step 8
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and disconnect the group system for mobile #2 antenna cable form the front infotainment control module and repeat the measurement from step 4
- If the voltage is greater than 9 volts, rectify the short circuit as necessary, replace the cable and go to step 2, if not go to step 9
- Reconnect the group system for mobile #2 antenna cable back to the group system for mobile #2 antenna and the front infotainment control module. Perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202). If the fault persists, install a new group system for mobile #2 antenna
- Check the front infotainment control module software release notes to see if a repair is available and update the front infotainment control module and repeat step 2. If no software update is available go to step 10
- Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) relating to the customer concern and follow the DTC index
