Pinpoint Test C: Diagnostic Trouble Code(S) Set In The Control Module(S)

  1. C1: CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES IN TABLE 1 
    NOTE:
    • For additional information on the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s), refer to the relevant DTC  help text.
    • The heated steering wheel will not operate if the engine is not running.
    1. Start the engine
    2. Set the heated steering wheel switch to ON
    3. Using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment, check the GWM  for DTC  s
    4. Refer to 'TABLE 1 - Hardware Diagnostic Trouble Codes' above this pinpoint test

      Are any of the DTC  found in 'TABLE 1 - Hardware Diagnostic Trouble Codes' set in the GWM  ?

      Yes:  GO to Pinpoint Test D .

      No:  GO to  C2.

  2. C2: CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES IN TABLE 2 
    NOTE:
    • For additional information on the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s), refer to the relevant DTC  help text.
    • The heated steering wheel will not operate if the engine is not running.
    1. Start the engine
    2. Set the heated steering wheel switch to ON
    3. Using the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment, check the GWM  for DTC  s
    4. Using the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment, check the BCM  for DTC  s
    5. Using the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment, check the IGM  for DTC  s
    6. Refer to 'TABLE 2 - Software Diagnostic Trouble Codes' above this pinpoint test

      Are any of the DTC  found in 'TABLE 2 - Software Diagnostic Trouble Codes' set in the any of the tested modules? (GWM  , BCM  , IGM IMC  )

      Yes:  GO to Pinpoint Test E .

      No:  GO to Pinpoint Test D .
