DTC B1B38-96: Right Front Inner Sensor - Component internal failure: Action
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment inspect the status bits for this DTC on the DTC appropriate service information. For this DTC, any one of the following combination status bits need to be set for the DTC to be valid (for example, there is a "Yes" against all of the status bits listed below)
- Test Failed (Bit 0)
- Test Failed This Operation Cycle (Bit 1)
- or
- Confirmed DTC (Bit 3)
- If none of the above combinations are valid ignore this DTC (the customer may not have experienced non-operation of the near field sensing system features)
- If the DTC is valid (any one of the combinations is true) follow the instructions below
- Clean the front right inner sensor
- Inspect the front right inner sensor for correct installation and signs of damage, if incorrect installation or damage is evident replace parts as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) cycle the ignition and retest. If the fault persists, install a new front right inner park assist sensor
