DTC B1974-98: Rear View Mirror Module - Component or System Over Temperature: Action

NOTE: To validate the repair, activate the smart rear view mirror and drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes on a standard road and check the smart rear view mirror function making sure the live camera feed is displayed on screen. Then check this DTC is no longer set within the body control module

Enquire as to if the smart rear view mirror camera has been exposed to extreme temperatures. Allow the system to cool. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest. If the fault persists, install a new smart rear view mirror module as necessary
