DTC P0C32-98: Hybrid/EV Battery Cooling System Performance - Component or system over temperature: Action
WARNING:
The PHEV battery pack casing must not be disassembled due to the risk of exposure to high voltage. Failure to comply with this instruction may result in personal injury or death.
NOTE:
PHEV battery temperature is regulated to approximately 30°C. To read this value, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)/Live Data - and select parameter - Battery Temperature (0x4800).
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the battery energy control module for related DTCs and perform the relevant corrective actions
- Check the PHEV battery temperature control system coolant level. Check for leaks. Rectify any leaks. Refill and bleed the system as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the heating, ventilation and air conditioning control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Check the air conditioning system for leaks. Rectify as necessary. Check that the air conditioning system pressures are correct. Rectify as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)/Clear DTCs. Retest. If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assistance (TA):
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)/ECU Functions/Prior Approval - Display Traction Battery Data
- Attach the Pathfinder session file using 'Pathfinder Sessions'
- Use the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) as a reference number in the Customer Comments field
- Describe primary and secondary diagnostics completed
