DTC B1D55-12: Antenna #2 - Circuit short to battery: Action
- Check the FM radio is working by searching for any FM radio stations and checking if the FM source is active on the screen. If the FM radio is working go to step 10, if not go to step 2
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202) and read the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If the DTC is set go to step 3, if the DTC is no longer set go to step 10
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and disconnect the FM antenna cable from the FM antenna
- Measure the voltage between pin 1 of the FM antenna cable and a local ground connection on the vehicle
- If the voltage is greater than 13 volts, go to step 6, if not go to step 8
- Disconnect the FM antenna cable from the front infotainment control module and repeat step 4 measurement
- If the voltage is greater than 9 volts, rectify the short circuit, replace the cable and go to step 2, if not go to step 9
- Reconnect the FM antenna cable back to the FM antenna and the front infotainment control module. Perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202). If the fault persists, install a new FM antenna
- Check the front infotainment control module software release notes to see if a repair is available and update the front infotainment control module and repeat step 2. If no software update is available go to step 10
- Check for other related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC index
