Pinpoint Test B: Check The PSCM Power And Ground Circuit(S)
- B1: CHECK THE PSCM C1CS05A POWER CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Disconnect PSCM electrical connector C1CS05A.
- Measure the voltage between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 1 (BU), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage above 12 volts?
Yes: GO to B3.
No: Check fuse link 6A (60 Amps). If the fuse is damaged, install a new fuse. If the fuse is OK, GO to B2.
- Disconnect PSCM electrical connector C1CS05A.
- B2: CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN PSCM C1CS05A AND AUXILIARY JUNCTION BOX ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR C1BF01AN
- Disconnect Auxiliary junction box electrical connector C1BF01AN.
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 1 (BU), harness side and the auxiliary junction box electrical connector C1BF01AN pin 1 (BU), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 1 ohms?
Yes: GO to B3.
No: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Disconnect Auxiliary junction box electrical connector C1BF01AN.
- B3: CHECK THE PSCM C1CS05A GROUND CIRCUIT
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 2 (BK), harness side and ground.
Is the resistance less than 1 ohms?
Yes: GO to B4.
No: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 2 (BK), harness side and ground.
- B4: CHECK THE PSCM C1CS05A IGNITION CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 3 (VT-WH), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage above 12 volts?
Yes: GO to B5.
No: Check the BCM . Refer to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
- Turn the ignition ON.
- B5: CHECK THE PSCM C1CS05B POWER CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Connect PSCM electrical connector C1CS05A.
- Disconnect PSCM electrical connector C1CS05B.
- Measure the voltage between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (VT-RD), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage above 12 volts?
Yes: GO to B7.
No: Check fuse link 7A (60 Amps). If the fuse is damaged, install a new fuse. If the fuse is OK, GO to B6.
- B6: CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN PSCM C1CS05A AND AUXILIARY JUNCTION BOX ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR C1BF01AN
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (VT-RD), harness side and the auxiliary junction box electrical connector C1BF01AN pin 2 (RD), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 1 ohms?
Yes: GO to B7.
No: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If the wiring harness is OK, Refer to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (VT-RD), harness side and the auxiliary junction box electrical connector C1BF01AN pin 2 (RD), harness side.
- B7: CHECK THE PSCM C1CS05B GROUND CIRCUIT
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 2 (BK), harness side and ground.
Is the resistance less than 1 ohms?
Yes: Continue with the Action list detailed within the DTC Index - PSCM for the DTC directed to this pinpoint test.
No: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Measure the resistance between the PSCM
electrical connector C1CS05A pin 2 (BK), harness side and ground.
