DTC C1006-53: Left Power Side Step Motor - Deactivated: Action

NOTE: The outputs on the tow bar control module can only be reactivated twice. If an output has been deactivated three times, the module will have to be replaced to restore functionality

Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the left deployable side step motor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - Enable Protected Outputs (0x205E). Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
Check the left deployable side step motor/front hinge assembly for damage or loose fasteners. If the front hinge can be moved by hand, replace the left deployable side step motor/front hinge assembly
