DTC B1B57-12: Front Sensors Power Circuit - Circuit short to battery: Action
NOTE:
DO NOT
replace the near field sensing module for this DTC
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment inspect the status bits for this DTC on the DTC appropriate service information. For this DTC, any one of the following combination status bits need to be set for the DTC to be valid (for example, there is a "Yes" against all of the status bits listed below)
- Test Failed (Bit 0)
- Test Failed This Operation Cycle (Bit 1)
- or
- Confirmed DTC (Bit 3)
- If none of the above combinations are valid ignore this DTC (the customer may not have experienced non-operation of the near field sensing system features)
- If the DTC is valid (any one of the combinations is true) follow the instructions below
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for other front park sensor related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If other front park sensor related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) are present, refer to the relevant Diagnostic Trouble Code(s)
- If no other Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) are present, inspect the front right outer, front right inner, front left inner, front left outer, front left park assist and front right park assist sensor connectors and harness for signs of damage and security of connections
- Refer to electrical wiring diagrams and check the front parking sensor power circuit for short circuit to power. Repair or replace any wiring harness as required
