DTC C1005-77: Left Power Side Step Deploy - Commanded position not reachable: Action

NOTE:

When repairing, disconnect the deployable side step motor electrical connector because of trap hazard near hinges due to unexpected operation
The physical obstruction might have been removed

Check the left deployable side step hinges for dirt and debris, wash the step if necessary
Remove the left deployable side step from hinges. Check the rear hinge for free movement. If movement is restricted renew the left deployable side step rear hinge. Connect the left deployable side step motor electrical connector and check that the front hinge extends when the door is opened. Replace the left deployable side step motor/front hinge assembly as necessary. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
