DTC P170E-07: Clutch Delivered Torque Performance - Mechanical failures: Action
- Note transfer case classification and class version details printed on the transfer case For additional information, Refer to: TRANSFER CASE
- Using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, select the DTC-associated Guided Diagnostics to check the transfer case classification and transfer case classification version. The application will subsequently test the system and report a DTC if a fault persists
- If the fault persists, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the circuit between the high/low range position sensor and the transfer case control module for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required, clear DTC and retest
- Start the engine and, using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read the DTCs. If the fault persists, install a new transfer case control module and configure as a new module. Refer to the Transfer Case Control Module Replacement Application instructions in the relevant Diagnosis and Testing service information.
