- Check the fuel flap release motor for obstructions. Rectify as necessary
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the fuel flap position switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness or install a new fuel flap release motor as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the body control module for fuel flap release system related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Install a new fuel flap release motor
