DTC P0C48-39 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit Low - Signal Has Too Few Pulses: Action

This procedure requires a minimum of Pathfinder 295 loaded or later
All ignition ON/OFF instructions must be followed. Failure to complete these instructions may cause damage to the vehicle control modules
All ignition ON/OFF instructions must be followed. Failure to complete these instructions may cause damage to the vehicle control modules
NOTE:
The Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment will read the VIN
and automatically take the vehicle out of 'Transportation Mode' if required
- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover approved battery support unit
- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session
- Follow the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment prompts
- Select 'ECU Diagnostics'
- Select 'Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)'
- Select 'Update ECU'
- Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task
- Start the vehicle and wait a minimum of 10 seconds before turning the engine off
- Turn the ignition ON
- Select 'All DTCs'
- Check for DTCs stored in the BECM
- If P0C48-39 and/or P0C47-31 are not stored in the BECM continue to step 8
- If P0C48-39 and/or P0C47-31 are stored in the BECM continue to diagnose the concern using the DTC help text below
- If required, reset the vehicle to 'Transportation Mode'
- When all of the tasks are complete, exit the session
- Disconnect the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment and the Jaguar Land Rover approved battery support unit
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the PHEV battery coolant pump power and ground circuits for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the PHEV battery coolant pump control circuit for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness or install a new PHEV battery coolant pump as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)/Clear DTCs. Retest. If the fault persists, install a new PHEV battery coolant pump
