P0966-11: Pressure Control Solenoid "B" Control Circuit Low - Circuit short to ground: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Check startup battery charge and condition and record values
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read all DTCs and investigate any DTCs relating to startup battery voltage supply or vehicle charging system. Rectify as required. Rectify as required
- Check the security and integrity of the transmission ground point and check the resistance from the transmission ground to the vehicle ground. Rectify as required
- Check the transmission VBATT and IGN circuits for voltage supply to transmission. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Inspect the transmission connector(s) for signs of water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Rectify as required
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 8-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality For additional information, Refer to: TRANSMISSION OIL COLOR CHART . If the automatic transmission fluid condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and retest.
