DTC P0071-23: Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit "A" Range/Performance - Signal stuck low: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- Engine off for greater than 8 hours. Start the engine and allow to idle for 10 seconds
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the ambient air temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance (greater than 20 ohms). Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Install a new ambient air temperature sensor
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
