DTC P0715-64: Input/Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit - Signal plausibility failure: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the powertrain control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the anti-lock brake system control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the vehicle for CAN bus (FlexRay) related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signals - Turbine Speed (0x1E72) - Transmission Output Shaft Speed (0x1E68) - for plausibility
- Confirm the size of wheels/tires matches the vehicle configuration data
- Inspect the driveshafts for correct installation. If driveshafts are not correctly installed, check for any damage to the driveshafts. Refit or replace the driveshafts as required
- Visually inspect all other driveline components and check for damage. Replace any damaged components as required
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 8-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality. If the condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
- Clear the DTC. Perform a road test of sufficient duration to allow the vehicle to reach normal operating temperature. Recheck DTCs. If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
