DTC P3042-01: Propshaft Speed Sensor - General electrical failure: Action
NOTE:
If this DTC is logged with P3042-12, P3042-14 perform the repair action for these before performing the repair actions below
- If available using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, select one of the following guided diagnostic concern areas below, or select the guided diagnostic using the available tab
- Powertrain - Transmission and Driveline - Loss Of Traction
- Warning - Messages - 2 wheel drive only - traction reduced
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the drive shaft speed sensor circuit for short circuit to power. Disconnect and re-connect connectors to check for poor connection. Repair circuit as necessary, clear the DTCs and retest
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - On-Demand-Self-Test, repair any issues reported by the test
- Start the engine. If the fault persists, check and install a new driveshaft speed sensor as necessary
