DTC P18A5-12: Motion/Position Sensor "A" Signal Circuit - Circuit short to battery: Action
- Cycle the ignition and perform routine - On-Demand-Self-Test. If DTC is present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, perform the following repair actions below. If the DTC is not present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, clear the DTCs and perform All-Wheel-Drive Healthcheck
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the rear drive unit signal circuit for short circuit to power. If a circuit fault is present, repair the circuit as necessary and re-run On-Demand-Self-Test. If the DTC is not present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, clear the DTCs and perform All-Wheel-Drive Healthcheck. If the DTC is present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, perform the following repair actions below
- Install a new all wheel drive control module as necessary and re-run On-Demand-Self-Test. If the DTC is not present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, clear the DTCs and perform All-Wheel-Drive Healthcheck. If the DTC is present within the On-Demand-Self-Test results, perform the following repair actions below
- Check and install a new left rear drive unit actuator motor as necessary. Clear the DTCs and re-run the All-Wheel-Drive Healthcheck
