U0055-88: Vehicle Communication Bus D - Bus off: Action

Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the High Speed CAN bus (HMI-CAN) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
Perform an ignition cycle to restart the instrument panel cluster control module
Check for communication Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) set in other modules on the HMI CAN network
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and measure the resistance between HMI CAN high and low at the instrument panel cluster control module connector, if a short circuit is found, repair the wiring harness as necessary. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
