DTC B1C33-12: Steering Column Tilt Feedback Signal - Circuit short to battery: Action

NOTE:

After making sure any faults have been repaired, inspect if DTC U1000-00 is stored in the BCM . If yes, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run the application 'Ignition cycle counter reset' from ECU Diagnostics - Body Control Module (BCM) - ECU Functions. The application re-enables the output and allows successful validation of the repair using the recommended method
To validate the repair firstly run the engine for 30 seconds and check the steering column tilt function, then use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check this DTC is no longer set within the body control module

Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the steering column tilt adjustment motor position sensor signal circuit for short circuit to power. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
