DTC B1206-68: Crash Occurred - Event information: Action
NOTE:
- Before a collision, the crash signal has a frequency of 10 Hz ± 10% and a duty cycle of 50% ± 10%.
- After a collision, the crash signal alternates between 5 cycles at 500 Hz ± 10% and 5 cycles at 250 Hz ± 10% and has a duty cycle of 50% ± 10%.
- The crash signal may reset at the start of the next ignition cycle after a collision.
- Check the vehicle for impact damage. Rectify as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the restraints control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Electric Power Inverter Converter Control Module (EPIC)/ECU Functions/On Demand Self Test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the crash signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the restraints control module power and ground circuits for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
