P008A-84: Low Pressure Fuel System Pressure - Too Low - Signal below allowable range: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Engine running greater than 2 minutes
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signals.
- Low Pressure Fuel Line Pressure (0x05B3)
- Fuel Rail Pressure - Low Range Sensor (0x0376)
- Fuel Rail Pressure (0xF423)
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check LP - fuel pressure sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Check for fuel system leakage from the fuel tank and lines both internal and external of the fuel tank
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
- Install new low pressure fuel pump, only when diagnosed as failed
