P0087-84: Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low - Signal below allowable range: Action
NOTE:
Do NOT replace the powertrain control module for this DTC, unless the powertrain control module connector pins are damaged or corroded.
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Engine running greater than 1 minute
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the fuel rail pressure sensor circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Open circuit
- High resistance
- Install new fuel rail pressure sensor, only when diagnosed as failed
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear all stored Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
