P0251-13: Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control A - Circuit open: Action
NOTE:
Do NOT replace the powertrain control module for this DTC, unless the powertrain control module connector pins are damaged or corroded.
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Engine running
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signal
- High Pressure Pump Control (0x0453)
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check high pressure fuel pump circuit for open circuit
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
- Install new high pressure fuel pump, only when diagnosed as failed
