P0571-62: Brake Switch A Circuit - Signal compare failure: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Monitor the status of "Engine Input 1" "brake switch" and "brake switch 2". When the brake pedal is not pressed both parameters should equal 0
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Check anti-lock brake system control module for vehicle speed related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to relevant DTC index
- Check brake pedal switch for correct adjustment
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the brake pedal switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Install new brake pedal switch, only when diagnosed as failed
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear all stored Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
